Third International AWH Summit
The 3rd International Atmospheric Water Harvesting Summit, held January 15-16, 2026, gathered over 170 attendees to advance the field of Atmospheric Water Harvesting (AWH) under the theme “Beachhead AWH Materials and Applications to Achieve 1 Billion m³ of Installed AWH Capacity.” There were a variety of sectors represented by attendees: Academic, Start-ups and Entrepreneurship, Corporations, Municipal and Government, Non-profits and Research Institutions, and Local Media Outlets.
This diverse group of presenters and attendees created a highly collaborative and engaging environment with particularly dynamic Q&A sessions. Participants shared valuable perspectives and posed insightful questions to promote more discussion, many of which carried into scheduled breaks. Overall, the Summit successfully fostered connection and innovative conversation, shared current research advancements and commercialization progress, laid a path forward to track global installation towards 1B m3 of AWH, enabled pilots between start-ups and end users in AWH, and strengthened relationships within the AWH community to continue creating meaningful impact in the field.

Second International AWH Summit
This year's summit brought together researchers, industry partners, emerging companies, municipal leaders, and end-users to create a 20-year plan for advancing and commercializing AWH technology, drawing lessons from the development of water technologies such as desalination, ozone, and UV systems. Discussions centered on pinpointing innovations in materials and systems, defining performance benchmarks, exploring market potential across various sectors, outlining pilot and scale-up needs, establishing regulatory guidelines, and identifying research and funding priorities. The event encouraged collaborative dialogue to drive AWH as a sustainable, scalable solution for tackling local and global water challenges

First International AWH Summit
The first Atmospheric Water Harvesting (AWH) Summit convened researchers, startups, industry leaders, and end users to address water challenges, with a specific focus on the Southwest. The event filled the gap in dedicated AWH forums, fostering collaboration on innovative applications (e.g., household water, industrial uses in semiconductors and healthcare, and municipal cooling) and material advancements (e.g., thermodynamics to improve water yield, efficiency, and scalability). Diverse viewpoints and experiences helped drive the conversation to advance AWH’s role in achieving net-zero water goals and supporting humanitarian, industrial, and energy-transition needs.
